The Gravity of Us – Book Review

The Gravity of Us

Brittainy C. Cherry

Book Blurb:

Graham Russell and I weren’t made for one another.

I was driven by emotion; he was apathetic. I dreamed while he lived in nightmares. I cried when he had no tears to shed.

Despite his frozen heart and my readiness to run, we sometimes shared seconds. Seconds when our eyes locked and we saw each other’s secrets. Seconds when his lips tasted my fears, and I breathed in his pains. Seconds when we both imagined what it would be like to love one another.

Those seconds left us floating, but when reality knocked us sideways, gravity forced us to descend.

Graham Russell wasn’t a man who knew how to love, and I wasn’t a woman who knew how to either. Yet if I had the chance to fall again, I’d fall with him forever.

Even if we were destined to crash against solid ground.

My Review:

WOW!!! That’s the word that I use to describe this book.
Graham is a man who has completely shut himself off from feeling anything. He’s incapable of love until Lucy enters the picture. Lucy is a woman who lives her life in the clouds. She doesn’t know how to truly love, until she meets Graham. Apart, they are both lost. Together, they find what so many only dream about.
For anyone who hasn’t had a taste of Brittainy Cherry’s Elements, let me explain my Wow. The last book left me wondering, how can it get any better. This one proved that it could. It’s filled with love, heartache, happiness and forgiveness. It took me a little longer to read than the others; Not because it wasn’t great, but because I couldn’t stop the tears from clouding my eyes.
Graham and Lucy’s story is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. It will make you mad, happy, laugh and cry. It’s an emotional roller coaster, but it’s well worth the ride.
